To apply for the GET INSIDE MOVIES BOURNEMOUTH BFI FILM ACADEMY, simply complete the online application form. The process is competitive so please use the application form to tell us why you would like to have a career in the film industry and include relevant examples of work.
The course schedule will be announced in July when applications open.
Please only apply if you can attend all / most sessions.
Typically, each session runs from 11am – 4pm with optional pre-production support in 2023 during weekdays between 4pm – 7pm as scheduled. Due to the covid pandemic some sessions throughout the course will be run online using Zoom. The course includes the NCFE qualification “Preparing to work in the film industry” level 2 and each student is required to complete course work at home after each session. There are two production days on 15th and 16th February, typically the days are longer and run between 8am and 8pm providing a unique practical opportunity to work together with film industry professionals to make a short film.
If successful, each student is required to pay a £25 joining fee on the first day of the course. For students living outside of the Bournemouth area, the BFI can provide travel bursaries; for more details before joining please contact the Get Inside Movies team.
